CSL-V uses molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) as the base lubricant instead of graphite (graphite is not an effective lubricant in a vacuum). The result is a series of products that provide exceptional performance in vacuum applications within each product’s intended temperature range. Outgassing is practically non-existent even at elevated temperatures!
CSL250V
Designed for use in vacuum applications, where high temperatures are not a problem.
– Usable temperature range: -150°F up to +250°F (Note: stainless steel bearings may be required for subzero temperatures.)
CSL450V
Designed for use in medium-high temperature vacuum applications.
– Usable temperature range: 250°F up to +450°F (Note: C4 internal clearance bearing may be required at temperatures above 350°F and heat stabilized bearings may be required at temperatures above 450°F.)
CSL660V
Designed for use in high temperature vacuum applications.
– Usable temperature range: 450°F up to +660°F (Note: C4 internal clearance bearing may be required at temperatures above 350°F and heat stabilized bearings may be required at temperatures above 450°F.)
– These products are dry and will not attract contaminants, they will not drip or fling lubricant.
– Bearings processed with CSL-V will spin free regardless of temperature.
