CSL-EP is a unique non-petroleum liquid that is impregnated into CSL. The result is a quiet smooth rotation that improves speed capabilities. The bearing steel will also have a micro thin coating of CSL-EP and may feel “wet” or tacky. We carefully selected this non-petroleum product because of its excellent lubricating properties, its tendency to not drip, and because it doesn’t burn like oil or grease so it never leaves a burned carbon deposit on the races.
This series is most popular in applications requiring higher speed, quieter and smoother operation.
CSL250EP
Generally used in applications where high temperatures are not a problem, however this option is not used in sub-zero temperature applications.
– Usable temperature range: +32°F up to +250°F.
CSL450EP
Generally used in medium-high temperature applications.
– Usable temperature range: +250°F up to +450°F (Note: C4 internal clearance bearing may be required at temperatures above 350°F.)
CSL660EP
Generally used in high temperature applications.
– Usable temperature range: +450°F up to +660°F (Note: C4 internal clearance bearing may be required at temperatures above 350°F and heat stabilized bearings may be required at temperatures above 450°F.)
– Bearing processed with CSL-EP series lubricants will have a tacky feel and will have slightly more drag than standard series CSL.
– These product may provide some corrosion protection against caustic chemical vapors or temperature caused oxidation.
– This product line is NSF H-1 certified.
