All Cobra Solid Lubricant™ products are formulated from a graphite base (or MoS2 in the case of our vacuum series) and binders along with other ingredients to form a paste-like mixture which is injected into specially prepared bearings. The mixture is thermally cured, after which proprietary processes are performed to create the various Cobra Solid Lubricant™ products.
To select which Cobra Solid Lubricant™ product is best suited for your application, consider the continuous temperature the bearing will actually feel (or a good guess), the approximate speed (RPM) of the bearing, other application conditions (like vacuum, very dusty, wet, food processing, etc.), and the type and size (or manufacturer’s part number) of the bearing and then decide which of the 12 Cobra Solid Lubricant™ products best “fits” the application.
